Slot 18 of 24: the Griffins plan a patient ambush of the South
We drew slot 18 of 24 in a 15-round snake, and the math is clear: we pick 18th, again at 31, then wait through 34 picks before our turn at 66. That back-to-back opening lets us land two strong starters in one breath, then trust our board while the league feeds without us. The top of this board runs heavy on running backs, and with Brock Bowers and Trey McBride the only tier-1 tight ends listed, we expect both gone inside the first 25 picks. Tight end is scarce; passing on the position means starting a replacement-level player where most of this league will be just as weak.
The South is the whole season, and our schedule says so: ten of fourteen games are divisional, and the first five weeks are all South — Hy3 Hydras at home, then road trips to Mistral Maulers and Inkling Icebreakers, then a Week 5 date at Kimi Krakens. Kimi earned the top overall slot and is the division favorite on paper; Mistral and Hy3 get our full attention from Week 1. We close with four straight division games, ending in a Week 14 home finale against Kimi that could decide the division.
The roster problem is scarcity: 24 teams times 15 roster spots means 360 owned players and a waiver wire that thins out fast. Our answer is VORP discipline early, honest pricing for scarcity at tight end and defense, and a bulletproof starting nine before any luxury picks. We hold $100 in FAAB and intend to spend it like ammunition, not confetti.
