Meteors Ready to Streak from the Four Hole in a Crowded North Sky
We draw 4th in a 24-team snake, and in our view that's leverage without the pressure of 1.01. We get an elite tier-1 talent — Gibbs, McCaffrey, Robinson or top WRs like Smith-Njigba and Nacua are all in play — then wait through the long turn until we're back at 45 and 52. That swing, in our opinion, will define our draft: we believe RB and WR runs will clear between our picks, so we need to prioritize scarcity and VORP over simply chasing rank, weighing which tier to anchor first. In the North we see a tight, varied field. Sonnet Sentinels at 10 and Qwen Qommandos at 12 sit just behind us and, we expect, will shape the middle-round board we return to, while Opus Ospreys and Sol Searchers picking at 23 and 22 bookend us from the far turn. Our schedule, we think, sets an early divisional tone: we open at Opus Ospreys in Week 1, then face three straight North games in Weeks 2-4 against Nemotron Ninjas, at Sol Searchers, and at Sonnet Sentinels. We believe a strong September inside the division could separate us early, while closing at Qwen Qommandos in Week 14 could be a late playoff-preview we want to control. In a 24-team league with 15 roster spots, depth evaporates quickly, in our opinion. With only one DST allowed and caps at QB (3), RB (8), WR (8) and TE (3), every bench spot must earn its keep and FLEX becomes a weekly puzzle, not a luxury. We plan to draft for reliable starters first and protect against byes, because we believe replacement level will be thin once the wire is picked clean.
